Job Description

The Limerick & Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) is the state training authority for Limerick and Clare. They have a large office block for 75 staff. They wanted to improve their energy efficiency, reduce their electricity bills, and also reduce their emissions. The SEAI Better Energy Community Grants were available for this project, so they received a 30% grant to assist with the costs. This grant is currently available to all businesses and clubs in Ireland.

The building has a large flat roof and most of their electricity demand was during daylight hours. This made them an ideal candidate for commercial solar PV. The solution was 80 x 300w Solar PV panels and a high-efficiency Solis Inverter. The system was set up with online monitoring. This meant the client can easily see the live and historical electricity output. Solar PV is one of the most common forms of renewable energy on the planet.

It is safe, reliable and finally, it makes financial sense for all businesses to install it. With no moving parts to maintain and reliable, clean, renewable energy for 30 years, you can see why Solar PV is a great investment for LCETB.

“AEI carried out the installation of the Solar thermal system on Stormont very professionally and to a very high standard. The installation came in on budget and on time and I would have no hesitation recommending them for solar installations.”
