Techrete is an architectural façade manufacturer based in Balbriggan, Co Dublin. They have a large energy demand driven by the industrial nature of the site. Techrete are pursuing net zero emissions by 2030 and onsite generation of electricity with our Autarco Solar PV system is a big part of this plan.
Techrete operate Monday to Saturday and consume electricity forming and drying concrete, operating gantry cranes amongst other industrial processes. They also have a large expanse of unused roof space. System installation was completed safely in 15 days.
The Issue
Controlling increasing energy costs was a primary driver but so too was achieving nett zero emissions by 2030.
The Solution
The solution comprised of a 320kw Autarco Solar PV system and an output guarantee to ensure the projected savings are delivered.
The Benefit
The benefit is savings of €45,000 per year and a reduction in carbon emissions of 70 tonnes per year. Payback will be achieved in 5.5 years.
